Apple has just released Safari 5.0.5 – an update for Safari on Mac OS X which offers unspecified bug fixes and security updates for Apple’s web browser application.
The release notes read:
This update is recommended for all Safari users and includes the latest security updates.

In addition to the Safari update Apple has also released a Mac OS X Security Update 2011-002. The release notes read:
Security Update 2011-002 is recommended for all users and improves the security of Mac OS X.

All these nifty updates follow the release of iOS 4.3.2 earlier today.

Glad about this — the last version of Safari seemed to have tons of usability problems.
Installed without incident.
Had problems with boot. Had to delete kernel extensions in safe mode to get it to work
Having some serious slowdowns and hang ups since updating Safari. Granted, I’m on a G5 iMac, but it’s might be time to go back to Firefox.
Just downloaded Safari 5.0.5 (6533.21.1) running on an Intel Core 2 Duo iMac with OS 10.6.7. The new Safari seems to have some bugs – it outright crashed lastnight (went completely unresponsive) and now I discover SaveAs doesn’t work (either click on Save As from the File menu or command S and NOTHING happens). Why does Apple do stupid things like this? Don’t they test software before release? Apparently not.
