Farmyard Animals Join iPhone 4S Line In NYC

Each year, the lines for Apple’s iPhone become more of a circus. Last year, it was pro line-sitter Greg Packer at the head of the line, giving tons of TV interviews.

This year, app developer Dillon Horowitz has brought a cow, a calf and a goat to Apple’s flagship NYC store.

Horowitz is promoting his iPhone milking game: Talking Pals–Daisy the Cow!.

He brought the farmyard animals down from Woodstock, N.Y. It took him almost year to clear the paperwork for a permit.

The animals are parked across the street from Apple’s store in front of the Plaza Hotel. Horowitz is giving out the fresh milk and running a mini petting zoo. Bystanders are invited to milk the animals.

He’s not the only one who sees a marketing opportunity in the media attention directed at the iPhone 4S lines. Gazelle, a gadget recycling company, is sponsoring the first two people in line, who have been camping out for a couple of weeks. They reportedly just turned down $1,500 to relinquish their place at the head of the line.
