Apple CEO Tim Cook is moving up in the world of Nike, where he’s been serving as a member of the board of directors.

Nike revealed that starting today, Cook will be the lead independent board member at the athletic apparel company, which is undergoing some big leadership changes.

iOS 10 and macOS Sierra are getting all the attention after their grand unveiling at WWDC, but Apple continues to fine-tune its current software before unleashing the next-gen goodies later this fall.

Apple dropped four new beta updates on developers today, bringing a huge batch of bug fixes and under-the-hood improvements to iOS 9, OS X El Capitan and tvOS.

Apple once again showed its support for gay rights over the weekend by participating in San Francisco’s LGBT Pride festival. It’s not just the iPhone that’s supposedly getting a change in its display next year. According to a new report, Apple is currently developing microLED panels for a future Apple Watch, replacing the OLED panels used in the current model.

At WWDC this week, Apple all but confirmed that Apple Watch is really just a health gadget. Tim Cook described it offhandedly as a “device for a healthy life,” and most of the watchOS 3 segment of the keynote was devoted to health and fitness.

This focus on health makes sense. As an activity tracker, Apple Watch is arguably the best on the market, and watchOS 3 will make it even better. Apple will not be updating its old ass Thunderbolt display anytime soon, despite rumors that suggested the company was planning to unveil a new 5K Thunderbolt display with a built-in GPU at this year’s WWDC.

Coach has secretly listed its first Apple Watch bands on its website. An official unveiling of the luxury leather bands is still in the works, but based on the early listings it appears that the bands will come at a relatively cheap price point.

The Golden State Warriors completed one of the biggest comebacks in NBA playoff history last night when they beat the Oklahoma City Thunder, and perhaps no one in the arena was as amped as Apple VP Eddy Cue.
